On Tuesday, March 25, former Temple City High School standout Jake Trabbie’s current college team, the Central Arkansas Bears, lost 8-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.
The game took place at Bear Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Warhawks this season.
The Bears’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. at Bear Stadium against Arkansas State Red Wolves.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
