How many students were enrolled in Temple City Unified School District in 2022-23 school year?

Temple City Unified School District's schools enrolled 5,196 students in the 2022-23 school year, 1.2% less than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.7% of them were boys, and 48.2% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were Asian, making up 63.9% of the Temple City Unified School District's total enrollment.

Temple City Unified School District covers eight schools within Los Angeles County with its main office in Temple City.

Among the eight schools in Temple City Unified School District, Temple City High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,803 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
